Ishaq Kothawala is a Chief Strategic Officer at Bykea Technologies, a service that, leveraging technology, focuses on creating a viable transport & logistics ecosystem for the masses. The company's concentration is entirely on bringing efficiency into people's lives. It has also created an innovative hybrid model for inclusion of people not connected to technology. Since its inception three months ago, Bykea has experienced remarkable growth.
Ishaq holds an Actuarial degree from Cass Business School, London. He moved back to Pakistan in 2007 with the aim of creating an impact and pursue his entrepreneurial initiatives. His informal career started as a street vendor when he was 12 years old and later on as a stock trader. His formal career commenced with EFU life and then later joined Pak Qatar Takaful as the Chief Actuary. His entrepreneurial streaks and adventurous attitude enabled him to become the first actuary in Pakistan who switched his career first to sales and later on to technology.
Ishaq relishes risk taking and diversity. He believes in technological sublime and using its infinite possibilities in improving how humans live and interact. His optimism and the ability to learn from every experience is what makes him the person he is today. He is an avid traveler and a chess player.
