Shayaan Tahir has a great entrepreneurial success story as he was at the age of 21 started with HomeShopping.pk. Naturally blessed with an acute sense of business acumen, the young man started his own business and gradually rises with CEO- Founder of Home Shopping Network.
Shayaan Tahir- Born on March 2, 1986 in the Sialkot city, Pakistan. He has completed his studies from London School of Economics and Social Sciences. He also took training as I.R Pilot at Peshawar Flying Club. He was also associated as Customer Sales Executive with T.R.G (The Resource Group) in the Charter Communication Campaign. But his real journey started with Home Shopping as a young Entrepreneur.
Shayaan Tahir is viewed as one of the pioneers of the e-Commerce industry in Pakistan. He has been involved in creating internet startup businesses for 8 years in Pakistan and abroad. The life’s summary of a boy who followed his dreams from inside his room and it was those dreams that made him into the man owning and controlling Pakistan’s largest online retail Store ‘Homeshopping.pk’ with just $ 100 as startup capital and he was able to build a brand that people have trusted in Pakistan for years in just a short time. Shayaan Tahir pursued his passion through college. Striking on his own efforts and found him at the right place at the right time- set himself a remarkable guideline for many new Entrepreneurs.
His journey isn’t stops with Home Shopping Pakistan but also extent it with Homeshopping.ae- operating in UAE. Moreover, Youpickwebuy.com is also another successful online startup which relates to imports. Besides this, Shayaan Tahir is also acting as a successful partner of re-known Fast Food Chain “Chips”.
During this successful journey, Shayaan Tahir received many Honors & Awards. In 2010 & 2011, he received the Brand of the Year Award by the Brand Foundation of Pakistan as the Best Online Retailer. The Award was presented by Prime Minister of Pakistan Mr. Yousuf Raza Gilani & by Finance Minister of Pakistan Dr. Abdul Hafeez Shaikh.
Shayaan Tahir also played his important role as an inspirational speaker- Spoke at the World Retail Congress Asia Pacific 2013 in Singapore to some of the leading Retailers of the World as an industry expert in e-commerce, shared some of the strategies he applied which led him to bootstrap his startup into an e-Commerce group in just 9 Years.
